ALAN WILKINSON + TALIBAM! (Great Britain/USA) -
Alan Wilkinson - tenor sax, baritone sax
Matt Mottel - electronics, keyboard
Kevin Shea - drums

& Alan Wilkinson ist das Nachfolgealbum "It Is Dangerous To Lean Out" (E Pericoloso Sporgersi), das am 24.

Alan Wilkinson was a formative part of the Leeds experimental music scene in the 80s, founding the Termite Club and as part of the ferocious Hession/Wilkinson/Fell trio. Since relocating to London in 1990 he has continued to play and promote the music and remains one of the most powerful saxophone voices around today, recently adding bass clarinet to his usual alto and baritone. He has played with Derek Bailey, Peter Brötzmann, Chris Corsano, Akira Sakata, Thurston Moore and many others, and can currently be seen with Akode, the Mark Wastell Quartet, Talibam! and Wilkinson/Edwards/Noble.

Talibam! is a 13 year working unit featuring Kevin Shea (a drummer who perpetually inspires clones to reevaluate that which they take for granted) and Matt Mottel (a keyboardist who stacks his synth tone through expert speedy hand manipulation). They are a rhythm section that is at the cross hair of agility, speed, punctuation and intention - a perfect pairing for Alan Wilkinson's vigilant overthrow of normative music. Wilkinson is the strongest possessor of fire tone, blue notes and saxophone gallantry - his napalm sonics wake up all the sleepy horn blowers. A longtime veteran of UK's legendary jazz cabal, Wilkinson breathes menacing commitment to the ghoulish moment of now. Talibam! & Alan Wilkinson play music bound by curiosity - brutalizing cliché without bolstering any dominant dogmatic idiom - ready to till the local agricultural dynamics for all organic food munch.
